UNDERVISNINGSMÆSSIGE OG PÆDAGOGISKE PROJEKTER english

Himalayan Project arbejder bredt i Undervisningssektoren i Upper Solu. Dels sørger vi for at opgradere de fysiske rammer omkring skolerne i nært samarbejde med skolerne selv og de donerer, som indgår i selve projektet. Med ordentlige rammer må det forventes at lærere og elever føler sig bedre tilpas i skolen og vil arbejde med en større arbejdsglæde. Men på den anden side så vil selv de fineste rammer ikke kunne gøre indholdet bedre end den indsigt og viden som lærerne har. Og elevernes kapacitet bliver ikke bedre end de erfaringer, som de kan drage i skolen. Derfor forsøger vi også ad forskellig vej at øge kvaliteten af den undervisning, som foregår i vore skoler.

PONA-SEP: Dette program indledte vi i efteråret 2014 og det er planlagt at forløbe foreløbig i 10 år indtil 2024. Se under fanen PONA-SEP

Pædagogik: I foråret 2008 tog vi hul på vore aktive pædagogiske tiltag med en gruppe lærersturerendes praktikophold i Thamakhani. Det kom der en analyse og nogle reflektioner (download) ud af. Da WEP blev godkendt af Den Danske Ambassade i Kathmandu fik vi muligheden for at lægge et School Empowerment Project (SEP) ind i WEP, idet vi by gennemfører projektet i to sammenhængende rammer. Den ene ramme er et WEP-SEP, hvor de 6 kvindegrupper skal afvikle møder med landsbyens lærerstab for at de kan lære at samarbejde på en positiv måde med hinanden. Den anden ramme er et egentlig SEP, hvor en nepalesisk undervisningsekspert skal samle op på erfaringerne og tiltagene fra fællesmøderne og give lærerne en pædagogisk efteruddannelse. Rapporter: I 2003 lavede Master Kazi Sherpa en artikel (download) om Skolevæsenets etablering i Upper Solu, en proces som han var med i fra starten under Sir Edmind Hillary. I 2006 lavede Daniel Laursen en rapport (download) om skolesystemet i Nepal og i Solu. I 2007 lavede Rasmus Johansen en rapport (download) om udvalgte skoler i Upper Solu. I 2008 modtog vi en rapport fra Eline Franck og Anders Lammers om samtlige skoler i Upper Solu. Denne rapport er meget stor, så den er ikke uploaded på hjemmesiden, men kan rekvireres fra HP.

Skole-ekskursion: I efteråret 2008 afviklede vi den første skoleekskursion for Chhimbu og Sagar-Bakanje Skoler rundt i Upper Solu i en uge. Det kom der en lille stemningsrapport ud af. Uddybes under fanen herover.

Venskabs-skole-program: I 2006 etablerede Daniel Laursen det første venskabsskole program mellem Loding Skole og Studsgård Friskole ved Herning. Desværre skal flammen næres og det var ingen af skolerne for gode til - nok især skolen i Loding var for passiv.

Frivillig program: Vi har endnu ikke et egentligt frivilligt program for skolerne i Upper Solu, men i forbindelse med de pædagogiske projekter forventer vi at formalisere det. Uddybes under fanen herover. Men flere skoler har frabedt sig at få ikke-uddannede hjælpelærere ud som frivillige, men gerne færdiguddannede som har en vision og mission med at tage til Solu som frivillig.

Voksen-uddannelse: For mange år siden gennemførte vi madlavningskurser og engelskkurser for voksne i Mopung, men siden er det gået i sig selv. Vi vil gerne tage det op igen om nogen vil sætte det i gang.

english EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS

Himalayan Project works broadly in the education sector in Upper Solu. First of all we make sure to upgrade the physical environment around schools, in close collaboration with the schools themselves and with the donors. With proper infrastructure, it is more likely that teachers and students feel more comfortable in school and will work with a greater enthusiasm. But on the other side even the finest frames could not make the content better than the insight and knowledge of teachers. And students' capacity is not better than the experience that they can take in school. Therefore, we also try from different angles to increase the quality of teaching going on in our schools.

PONA-SEP: This program we initiated in autumn 2014 and it is planned to run for 10 years until 2024. See under the banner PONA-SEP.

Education: In spring 2008 we started taking active educational initiatives with a group of Danish teacher students internships in Thamakhani. This resulted in an analysis and some reflections (download). Friendship-school program: In 2006, Daniel Laursen established a Twin School Program between Loding School and Studsgaard Free School at Herning. Unfortunately, the flame must be fed and it that none of the schools was good - probably especially Loding School was too passive.

Volunteer program: We have not yet a true voluntary program for schools in Upper Solu, but in connection with the educational projects we expect to formalize it. Explore the tab above. But many schools do not wish to receive non-qualified tutors as volunteers, but want graduates who have a vision and mission to go to Solu as a volunteer.

Adult education: Many years ago we conducted cooking courses and English courses for adults in Mopung, but since then nothing more has happened. We would like to take it up again if someone will put it in operation.
