Agriculture in Nepal is generally oldfashioned and conservative.

New products and methods of cultivation are only slowly introduced. Sometimes this is right, as the soil isn't suitable, but in other cases can it be done without harm.

New products can supplement the farmer with a much higher economic return from his land, if there at the same time is developed markets for the products.

New articles of food and ways of secondary produce and preparation are difficult to introduce. Many children and grown-ups would have good benefit of extra vitamins and nutritions.

In Denmark the agriculture developed rapid with the Co-operative Movement. This could also happen in Nepal.

Himalayan Project wish to support projects within agriculture and specially if this will go through Co-operative Units.
